“Philippines maps disaster hotspots”

The environment bureau said that the country have drawn up a map of disaster’s zone. According to Environment Secretary Ramon Paje, the map covers over 1,600 municipalities and is accessible online.

The map shows areas declared as permanent danger zone, areas that are dangerous, and low-lying areas.

“However Paje said the national government was not going to forcibly move people from dangerous places, stressing that it was up to the local governments to take what measures they think are necessary” (PDI).
