5.2 magnitude quake rocks Masbate

Early Thursday, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said a moderate earthquake jolted Burias Island in Masbate. According to Phivolcs Dir. Renato Solidum, the earthquake hit at 6:24 am (local time) with epicenter located 35 km south of San Pascual town in Burias Is., and no aftershocks and tsunamis are expected.
Intensity 3 was felt in San Pascual, Sorsogon City in Sorsogon, and Legazpi, Tabaco and Sto. Domingo in Albay. Intensity 2 in San Jacinto in Ticao Is., Masbate, and Intensity 1 in other parts of masbate.
Reports also say, citing Solidum, with the magnitude of the earthquake, no damages are expected.
