M5.7 quake hit Regions X, CARAGA

At around 11:11 p.m. Thursday, a magnitude 5.7 earthquake struck Region X and Caraga Region. According to National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), the municipalities of Cantilan and Carrascal in Surigao del Sur experienced total power blackout, but it was restored at around 1 a.m., Firday.
Reported intensities are as follows:
Intensity VI – Carrascal, Surigao del Sur; Cantilan, Surigao Del Sur
Intensity V – Claver, Surigao del Norte
Intensity III – Butuan City; Buenavista, Agusan del Sur; Socorro & Mainit, Surigao del Norte
Intensity II – Surigao City; Bislig City
Intensity I – Cagayan De Oro city
The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said on its bulletin issued Thursday, 11:59 p.m. that they are expecting damage from this quake but according to local DRRMC of Caraga, there are no damage and casualty reported in the region.
