Effects of floods in Bukidnon, Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Maguindanao

A total of 25,177 families were affected by flooding incidents in Mindanao brought by torrential rains over the past few days.

According to NDRRMC, bulk of the affected families came from North Cotabato wherein a total of 11,935 families from 67 barangays were affected. Three persons from Cotabato were also confirmed dead due to drowning.

Some schools were also closed on first day of classes due to floodwaters. More than 10,000 students were stranded and told to return home as floodwaters in some schools in Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat, and Maguindanao have not yet subsided.
