Typhoon Igme
Typhoon Igme caused widespread floods, landslides and power outages in the northern Philippines leaving four people dead and five others missing, according to the National Disaster Coordinating Council.
At least 1,223 families or 6,014 persons were affected by flooding in 18 barangays of three (3) municipalities and one (1) city in Ilocos Norte.
Floodwaters submerged almost 2,000 houses in the towns of Pasuquin, Piddig, Solsona, Bacarra, Pagudpud and Bangui in Ilocos Norte.
In the Cordilleras, some 470 persons or 94 families were evacuated or moved to higher ground because of flashfloods.
In Baguio City, minor landslides were reported in Barangay Dontonan, Green Valley and Quezon Hill. Kennon Road was closed to traffic on Sunday, 27 June, due to a minor landslide at Camp 4 Tuba, Benguet. While a wooden bridge at Barangay Subagan, Licuan-Baay was washed out.
